e-Bird

You may not know it, but Cooper Gulch provides important habitat for migratory and year round resident birds. Check out the list of sightings on e-bird. There's currently 119 species of birds that have been spotted in Cooper Gulch Park.

Resources for Maintaining Biodiversity

We’re excited to share the Invasive Weed Management Strategy for Cooper Gulch Park that Humboldt State student Mason Zoerner developed in collaboration with Redwood Community Action Agency. It is a valuable tool that can be used to not only preserve biodiversity, habitat for birds, and maintain sequestered carbon but also address public health and safety issues related to vegetation.
